The platform combines familiar social media functionality—posting, commenting, following, and reactions—with distinctly Canadian design elements, including a profile icon featuring a person in a toque and plaid shirt, a Canada goose for public forums, and maple leaf speech bubbles for private posts.

Colin Schmidt is the Co-founder and CEO of Northsocial.ca. A University of the Fraser Valley alumnus, Colin leads the company's vision to provide Canadians with a social media platform free from big-tech algorithmic influence. Under his leadership, the platform has grown from a few hundred users to nearly 5,000 in just weeks.
